60647 Dentist Provides Laser Dentistry

Our dental office uses two state-of-the-art lasers as an alternative to drills in some instances.  Those are the Waterlase Laser as well as diode laser, which are ideal for soft tissue treatment.

Advantages of Lasers:

-Virtually Painless & More Natural than Drilling

Heat, vibration, and pressure are the primary reasons you feel pain after the use of a traditional dental drill. The WaterLase is able to cut both hard and soft tissues (teeth and gums) without creating heat or  vibration, and without the use of pressure.  Because of this, many dental procedures can be performed nearly pain-free, which means the patient requires fewer shots, less anesthesia, little to no use of a drill and less numb lips. The WaterLase can also be used for gum procedures, which helps to reduce bleeding, swelling, post-operative pain, often reduces the need for pain medication afterward. It’s just a better, safer and easier way to get your dental work done.

-Accuracy & Precision

The Waterlase is such a precise tool, it allows the dentist to remove tooth decay, bone and gum tissue without affecting the surrounding areas. This allows us to conserve more of your natural tooth structure which helps you to maintain your natural teeth even longer.

-Less Trauma to Teeth & Bone

Dental drills are high powered and can be known to cause fractures or hairline cracks in the teeth and bone that could lead to future dental problems down the road. The WaterLase tool reduces damage and preserves the healthy portions of your natural teeth.  This minimizes trauma in your mouth.

-Reduced Bleeding & Swelling

The WaterLase uses a conservative cutting action, which allows it to perform many gum and soft tissue procedures.  This results in little or no bleeding during and after the procedures, as well as reduced swelling post-op.

-Shorter Dental Timelines & Less Visits

With laser dentistry, you don’t often do shots or anesthesia.  This means that more procedures can be done at once so you can get multiple done in one visit. This technology also allows the dentist to perform many procedures that were previously only referred out to specialists.  This will save you time, money and hassle as you can more quickly address your dental needs and those of your family

-Versatility

The WaterLase can be used for a wide range of hard and soft tissue procedures. This includes preparation of cavities, decay removal, root canals, gum and bone surgery, smile design, gum and many others. Your dentist will decide if laser dentistry is right for you.
